		<description>Hey Kelley
Happy 40th (for tomorrow) and the quit is the best 40th present you could
 ever wish to have.
Congratulations and keep on quitting - yes I think you are so right about it
being successful because you are addressing the cognitive issues.
Stopping smoking is the first giant step in becoming a non-smoker. The
problem is its not just a matter of stopping its all about learning the
skills to stay stopped and this is the real challenge.
Stopping smoking is not an event it is part of a process. The process begins
long before even stopping and continues long after the last cig has been put
 out.
This is because stopping smoking is really about changing the way you think
as a smoker. A matter of becoming aware of the addiction in the mind and
resolving the conflicts it creates and that doesn't happen by magic overnight.
So its not just about deciding to stop and then toughing it out for a few
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
days until the discomfort goes away - most of us have tried this and returned
to smoking sometimes years after quitting.
So it is as you so rightly say all about changing our beliefs and finding
healthier alternative solutions to satisfy the discomfort we feel in our
 bodies.
 Namaste
