Big family gathering, turkey and all the fixin's, work work work in the kitchen, and right in the middle of it all, running out to take a smoke break. The break was always a way to get out of the kitchen and cool off for a few minutes. I did well during most of the afternoon and evening. I did a little stinkin' thinkin' towards the end of the get-together when some of the family was gathered around the bar having a drink and smokes and playing poker. I wanted to join in so badly but knew I'd better just leave so I did. I figured I had already proved to myself that I could get through most of the temptations, I didn't want to push myself to the extreme yet. So my mom, my hubby, and I took the food back to the house and did last minute clean-up, settled in and had a piece of pie. It worked out great.
