Hey, Frank!
Frank, I read your posts. I think you have a good chance at getting
your quit. You seem to be going through enough anguish. God knows, I
surely cannot give anyone credit unless they have suffered as much as
I. After all, I am among those who disregard those who give up smokes
and say ‘no problem, it was easy’. What a bunch of hogwash. The
amazing part of cogquit is that you learn that, after all the other
quits, thinking about what you’re doing may be the key. To heck with
quitting only to live with the never-ending urges/cravings. That’s no
way to live happily ever after.
Anyway, follow Pam and Indi’s suggestions. They know what they’re
talking about. Make your lists, refer to them often. Ask questions.
Maybe we can help. I hope so. I sincerely do. Quitting smokes is
probably the most important thing I’ve done for myself in this life.
Let’s hear from you (heck, I could use another project).

I agree. People that say they quit and that it was no problem are
I appreciate all the help and I appreciate being
either lying or they weren’t hooked in the first place.
I had this thing beat. It was the monster craves that hit after
one month: That was what wore me down. I can handle each crave,
but when they come and they keep coming and it feels like I get
a series of strong craves every evening, and sometimes I have them
all through the day (after being quit for over a month!) then that’s
when I get worn down and that’s when my resolve finally cracks.
Ditto. Smoking is the dumbest thing I’ve ever done and quitting
is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. A 17-year, 2 pack/day habit
doesn’t die so easily.
Thanks…
adopted. I need all the help I can get!

ROFL! Well, I’m a dope, too. I quit for over a month, and
And when I’m going through withdrawals, I’m pretty
then started again, and then I quit for over three weeks and
started again. Yep: I’d say “dope” is a term that applies to
me.
dopey, too!
Okay… At work, I don’t have access to any of the chat programs,
but I will read through the previous posts. Thank you very much.
