ItÂ’s countdown time!
Hmmmmm think the ‘cat’ is out of the bag?
Speaking of ‘thinking’, we do it all the time. We never stop thinking,
even when asleep. The stategy is to try to increase awareness of thoughts
that have become associated with automatic patterns of behavior.
Specifically, those behaviors that included a smoking response.
Think about that for awhile.

I have to agree with Marde here. On my other quits which never lasted more
than a few days, I conveniently kept all my ashtrays. For this quit, when I
had my breaking of the cigarettes ceremony, I threw my ashtrays on top of the
broken cigarettes in the trash can. The only ashtray I kept is the one that
sits outside on my deck. If anyone comes over to my house and wants to smoke,
that’s where they go, out on the deck. I wouldn’t have even kept that ashtray
but it beats picking up butts in the yard.
