<description>Dannye, I've post two times so far to you and both time my posts have been lost.
So here goes again. This time I'm writing my
reply in my Note Pad, then doing a copy and paste so if it goes off into
cyberspace, at least I have a copy of it!
I was desperate too when I came here a little over four months ago. As far as
I've seen so far, you have gotten great advice as
far as going back and reading past posts. Also, you need to start thinking
seriously about a quit date. You might want to make a
quit list and establish a foundation statement. You can check out
cognitivequitting.com, if you haven't already done so, to give you
a better understanding of cognitive thinking and how we apply it to our quits.
I realize because you're pregnant you need to go ahead and make this commitment.
One thing that I firmly believe is that a quit
has a much better chance of sticking if you are quitting for yourself. Well,
you don't have time to contemplate that. You have
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
another person to worry about now, your baby, so you might as well get on with
it. If you can make the commitment to quit at
least for the baby now, hopefully you can learn in the next few months on how to
stay quit for yourself as well.
I know that you must be feeling very lonely right now. Your circumstances make
you emotionally vulnerable. So I'm assuming your
hubby is from Austrailia. Is his family there? Anyone there to offer you
 support?
Let us hear from you. Please keep in touch. Make out that quit list at least
(it's simply a list of reason why you feel you should
 quit smoking).

		<description>--- In CognitiveQuitSmoking@y..., "dinah_damage" &#60;dinah_damage@y...
Well, I was desperate when I stumbled in here four months ago so I
know how you feel.
You've already received some good information. Read back on the
earlier posts and check out the cognitive quitting website. I'm
assuming that you will be quitting cold turkey since you're pregnant -
? Have you got a doctor now in your new locale? Have you set a
quit date? What about a quit list - have you made one up yet? Very
important stuff when you're starting out.
What is conscious smoking?
I've got to run...I'll check back later, still trying to get caught
up on posts but I have to get home, out again, and then back on the
computer later tonight...
Hang in there, Dannye
