You’re right - she would - in fact think I’m gonna have a ’smart ass
oscar of the month nomination’ and its my betting that Cat would win
it every time.

Hi there - sorry about all this and about all the typing errors -
I’ve had some nail tips put on and keep hitting the wrojg keys - I’ve
also lots my home specs so cant see the screen properly. I know
about the typing errors cos managad to read the post at work but
havent got time to post from work.
So Steve you asked what made us light up. I think I’m a bit like
Jean has said in the past (or I mean I was cos don’t smoke now). I
alwasys had a cig in my hand no matter what I was doing.
Until I married my present DH I used to smoke in bed so the very last
thing I did at night was have a smoke - if I woke up in the night and
didn’t get straight back off to sleep I would have a smoke. When I
woke up in the morning the first thing I did was light up and have a
smoke in bed before I got up. Then it would be down to kitchen to
put kettle on and have a smoke will making the coffee then I’d have
another with my coffee. Then I’d shower amd light up then I’d brush

Thanks Marde,
These are exactly what I was looking for. (And that doesn’t mean I
don’t need to hear from the rest of you.) Cranky, agitated, tight feeling
in the stomach and chest are the classic symptoms of an uncomfortably low
nic level/withdrawal. The times when you were awake and didn’t already have
one lit probably include the most subtle of symptoms that it was already
‘too long’ since you put out the last one. As smokers when free to smoke
at will, we almost never waited till we consciously felt the onset of
withdrawal.

Hi Ann :) It’s good to see you, been a while.
I’m guessing that most of our chores included physical cues that were
associated via our habit to a cig. Starting, taking a break from, or
finishing almost any task probably included sensations of “needing a kick
