		<description>Hi Marie - welcome to the group. Lots to find out and read up on -
 have you been over to Steve's site www.cognitivequitting.com yet?
 Also, have a look at message 3020 in which Steve gives an overview
 of cognitive quitting, plus the Files section on the groups' home
 page.

 I think some solid preparation is the key: in the past I just threw
 down my cigs, held on tight, and expected to be cured once I'd got
 over those first rough few days/weeks. This time round I prepared
 for it by learning more about why I smoked, and how to decode those
 cravings. I've been quit now for over 14 months and feel very
 comfortable in my quit - I can't envisage smoking again.
 This is a very supportive group, with ppl at different stages of
 their quits. You'll find we'll jump in with ideas and comments, so
 post and ask questions and you'll get responses. Weekends tend to
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
 be a bit quieter here, but you'll see more activity soon.
 Happy reading, and welcome once more
 Pam
