Re-grouping
Hi everyone, I just wanted all to know that on my day 13 quit,
several very stressful problems came up all at once, which I could
not handle along with my quit. I had to think and I could not do that
during my quit. With the information I have learned here at CQ, I am
trying to strighten out my major problems, do some ABC’s and get all
the tools I need to resume my quit. I am planing to set a quit date
of July 5 as the forth might be a little stressful. I have found that
for me, I need to get my life as harmonious as is possible and to
control the things I can change to make my quit sucessful. There are
a lot of things I can not change and so I will not worry about them.
Doing your ABC’s before hand is in my opinion really important. I
have been really down by loosing this last quit but I have learned so
much while doing it that the next one will be my last. I can do it
and all of you can do it if you really want to put some work into
your quits. Steve and Pam are angels and you can be sure they will be
there for you as well as all the other wounderful people on this
site. Have faith in yourselfs and know that it will get better. John

Hi, John,
Thanks for letting us know what’s been going on; and congrats on setting a
new quit date, getting right back on track. After having 13 days smoke-free
under your belt, you know you can do it, so hopefully this next quit will be
a bit easier at the outset than the last one! The good thing about CQ is that
we can no longer be, as other people have posted, oblivious smokers. All that
research into why/how/what we’re feeling really sticks with us — or I should
say me — even when I chose to smoke Saturday after 7 days smoke free. Back
on the horse again, I am; and am appreciative of your great message. You have
the right attitude!
Take care, and keep us posted.
