e-mails
thanks pam, for your welcome. i quit smoking on july 1st, and want to
stop the nicotine replacement on saturday (i have a big wedding party
on friday, and don’t want to be tempted to start smoking then, so to
be on the safe side i’ll take some nicotine gum and stop taking
nicotine replacement on saturday, then i have the whole weekend to
recover from withdrawing symptoms).
i just wanted to ask, is it normal that i don’t get any e-mails sent
to my e-mail address? when i want to read the posts, i have to read
the archives, and i don’t always have time to do that.

Hi Joan - I checked the details, and you’ve set it to receive
individual emails, so I’m not sure why they aren’t coming through to
your email address. Maybe you could check this out with your ISP, or
use a different email address to have mails sent to from this group?
I’m at work, so haven’t got chance to write much to you now - but how
are you dealing with those smoking triggers?
Catch up with you later on,
- Pam

Hi Pam, I couldn’t open your message, could open all the others but
when I tried yours I kept getting the message that a network error
occurred and that I had to try to contact again. But I could see in
the first line that you said something about the setting, that I
shouldn’t choose the option “individual e-mails”, so I changed it to
daily digest instead and hope that will solve the problem.
As for quitting, I’m still doing fine, had only 2 Nicorette microtabs
today. But I am terribly forgetful, needed a jar of pesto, but just
couldn’t think of the name, so had to name every ingredient and to
explain that I needed it to go with pasta. And I’m gaining weight. I
also (never had that before, but then I did smoke much longer than
I normally do this time before quitting again) lots of pimples, I
looked like an adolescent, but they are disappearing now. But I am
very motivated.
Joan.
