Back to work
Time to get myself prepared for when I go back to work. After nearly
2 weeks off, I’ll be going back to hectic stressful days and I know
getting an ABC together for that first day back will help. I’ve a
pretty good idea how I’ll be feeling next Monday morning….
A Back to work today and I feel pretty depressed
B Same old grind, same old routine - and no doubt loads to catch up
on. Won’t be time to take a break, phone won’t stop ringing all
morning, I feel sick at the thought of it. I’ve got knots in my
stomach, shortness of breath, can’t work out a plan for the day. I
need to get myself calmed down here. Only one thing for it
C … I’ll smoke
New B’s Maybe it is the same old routine… but I do quite enjoy my
job - its just the post holiday blues. There’s only so many hours in
the day, I can only do a finite amount - I’ll prioritise what’s to be
done, and deal with the urgent stuff. I’ll take some lunch with me
and some healthy snacks plus some fruit juice. I’ll make sure I take
at least 30mins break over the lunch hour, whatever’s going on in the
office. In the past a smoke might have ‘calmed me down’ before i
faced the day, but this doesn’t fit in with my foundation statement.
Instead, I’ll have some breakfast and jot down some ideas on how I’m
going to structure the day.
