Suz - we do not have a “policy” on the use of NRT’s in this group,
What we are concerned with in this group in learning how to
and as I stated to Ari, it’s a personal choice. No implied criticism,
so none should be “perceived”
understand and address those urges to smoke in a cognitive way. Our
experience shows that the majority of ppl who have quit cognitively
quickly stop using NRT’s as they learn to understand their smoking
behaviour.
“Staying vigilant” isn’t necessary nor is it a part of a cognitive
quit, although it’s talked about frequently in other quitsmoking
venues. Maybe another look at your smoking urges would help you?
Did you do your lists or the timer exercise to increase your
awareness of physical sensations?
Perhaps some more ABC’s might help?
Warren isn’t sneaky actually - Warren simply offers up what he has
been taught to offer up. What have you taught Warren?
