Lauren! 14 Days!

Wednesday, January 25th, 2006

That’s like TWO WEEKS, as in half a month, Woo Hoo!!
Congratulations, Well Done! How are you feeling on your quit now?
I was going through some ups and down at 2 weeks, depression and it
was okay and… Have you had any of that? Plus I was hallucinating
and smelling smoke where there should be no smoke there was never
any smoke there. At any rate, wanted to say good going girl!! donna

I lost track

To the question on when to sit quit date? This is interesting cause
I think Lauren said early that she moved hers closer so she could
get to it??? Maybe that is what happens when you prepare, read and
have a plan is you get antzy and move it closer. I did the same and
it was after I did my homework. So, I think Sandra asked when? I
say ‘Yesterday’ but I picked a time that I did have to deal with the
outside world and stayed in my little cacoon (sp) until I was strong
enuff to deal. That was after the 72 hour cold turkey that went
minute by minute and I crossed hour by hour off all 72 hours.
This quit is doable and look forward to feeling free and euphoric
for the most part (that is on my 4 and 5th week.) Be ready for a
grand adventure! All these people are worth riding the river with.

Hi, I’m New- SandyS

Hi Sandy,

:)) Your strength is within you and it comes from doing nothing more
than helping Warren choose a response. Your tools will provide you with the
info and all you’ll have to do is hand it to Warren. I know it sounds too
simple to be true, but it works because you are dealing directly with the
smoking dynamic.
You’re going to be surprised at how this quit goes compared to all the
others :) Steve

I was wondering

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

I just wondered if anyone posts stats. I find it very helpful when I
see how successful others are. I truly think this program is the key
to a permanent quit. Our own behavior is really the only thing we do
have control of. Thanks SandyL

Hi, I have just joined

Monday, January 23rd, 2006

I had quit smoking for 14 months then started back for reasons I don’t even
begin to understand. At midnight I am quitting again. I will go cold turkey
as I used the patches last time and have since learned cold turkey has a higher
stay quit rate. Don’t know if it is true but feel like this time it is the
best way to go.

Hello everyone, I am new here and am trying to find my way. I am
working on the foundation statements and lists. I think I’ve tried
every other way to quit, now it’s time to reprogram my behavior. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ~S.L.
