closure ABC’s

Hi all,
I haven’t post it for a while, kept quit and just doing
the work. Yep I still do ABC and even went back to
timer exercise which helps me a lot to stand back and
think and be aware of what I am feeling. On busy, crazy
days like last week it forces me to really take a step
back and evaluate the situation every hour before
Warren offers me something else. I noticed the timer
exercise does not take longer than a smoke and keeps me
aware of what is going on.
The closure ABC’s is a great idea and since I have to
make up one for tonight I might as well share it. It’s
not really a Thanksgiving advent where the guest go
home, but for the first time after I attempted to quit
(which is now over a year) I have friends over at my

house. In one way I am looking forward to it and in the
other way I am quit nervous. I already did lots of ABC
for any events that might come up.
A) my friends leave the house and go home, I am so
exhausted and I have a big mess now, to clean
up,
B) oh well this mess can wait I can clean that after
I had a smoke I will have more energy after I smoke
I always smoked on the end when my friends or
family left
C) I join my hubby and smoke
B1) No smoking, is not an option, and it will not
make me feel better either, my head feels heavy,
my eyes are burning, my shoulders and neck are
tense, my body feels lazy, I think I should stretch
my body and get some fresh air, go out the
balcony and look at the stars, just do the major clean
up and leave the dishes for tomorrow, it is
Sunday and I have all day to do it
C1) I go at the balcony and stretch while taking deep
breath and relax my body
C2) do major clean up and leave the rest for Sunday and
go to sleep
So now the party can begin. Just have to watch out that
I don’t drink to much cause Warren is not going to
respond when under the influence of alcohol. :-) take care
Carmen
