It's a very common misconception that once a quitter has eliminated the
nicotine, the rest is 'mental'. Actually, most of the cigarettes you lit
were cued by physical needs that aren't even connected to nicotine. What
I'm referring to are the physical needs or discomforts that result from
fatigue, hunger, boredom, anger, etc. They are a part of life and will
always need responses. Till now you used nicotine to dealt with those
physical needs. I hope you'll consider using the cognitivequitting program
to learn what your own physical needs are and find new effective ways of
taking care of them. Otherwise, you may get to the end of your time on
Chantix and still have a smoking habit generating urges to smoke.
