Are you a “newbie”
This is just a little message for anyone who is new to cognitive
quitting….(including those that I hope have come here to give it a
try..you know who you are :)..)
some people can string together days, weeks and even months,
smokefree, but alas “something happens”…it might be an argument,
illness, an accident, a stressful event..and those days disappear in a
puff of smoke. Something rocks the boat, and the habitual reaction is
to light up.
What if I told you that during those successful days of non-smoking
you could retrain yourself, so that when that stressful event slams
into your world, your habitual reaction has nothing to do with
smoking, and everything to do with making yourself feel better and
coping better with whatever comes your way?
GUESS WHAT???

It’s true. I’ve witnessed an entire day spend shopping all over Tucson. And
I must admit, I haven’t a clue why or how it’s done.
So if any of you feel that going into a store, or many many stores, is
helpful in your quit… apparently there’s something I haven’t grasped so
go for it and I’ll just back off of this one.
Beating a strategic retreat,
Steve
