Somehow I missed your post earlier and only just saw it. Welcome to
the group and congratulations on taking the step to quit.

That's the smoking habit... your established automatic response
to a craving. But I disagree with you that it's "one of the
trickiest" parts of the quit, I think it's THE trickiest. Suddenly
there's a craving and it seems that the only options are smoke or
don't smoke. Or deep breath and 'get on with it'.
What is it you do when you're "getting on with it"? What sort of
distractions, activities, responses do you have for getting on?
I hope you'll post and tell us about your quit. We may have some
ideas for dealing with cravings.
